Electrical Working Lead Position Summary

The Electrical Working Lead will oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical projects, systems, and lead team members, including subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a team leader in the execution of electrical work
  • Prepare sketches and follow blueprints to ensure concealed wiring is installed before future walls, ceilings, and flooring
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit
  • Oversee or participate in wire installation with conduit and cable trays
  • Perform routine duties as directed by workplace leaders, including electrical panels and standby generation
  • Avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and electrical codes
  • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads
  • Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocations, or replacement
  • Install control and distribution apparatus, including switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels
  • Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety components
Position Lead Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices
  • Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
  • Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality
  • Participate in site housekeeping
  • Interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive and courteous manner
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 5 years of field experience, journeyman, trade school, or apprenticeship
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
  • Competency in Permit Required Confined Spaces
  • Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
  • High-School diploma
  • Applicable State Trade License
