Position Summary: The Electrical Installation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the execution and maintenance of electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards while leading team members and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain regular attendance at designated locations, which may include various project sites.
  • Serve as a team leader in the implementation of electrical tasks.
  • Create schematics indicating the placement of wiring and equipment, or adhere to blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is completed prior to the installation of walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduits.
  • Oversee or assist in the installation of wiring with conduits and cable trays.
  • Perform additional routine tasks as assigned by the workplace leader, including working with electrical panels and standby generation systems.
  • Ensure that wiring installations are neat, safe, and compliant with specifications and electrical codes.
  • Connect power cables to machinery and install grounding leads.
  • Monitor the operation of installed systems to identify hazards and determine the need for adjustments or replacements.
  • Install control and distribution devices, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Test circuit continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and safety, utilizing testing instruments such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Training:

  • Minimum of 5 years of field experience, journeyman status, trade school education, or apprenticeship.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Competence in Permit Required Confined Spaces.
  • Ability to develop and implement daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma.
  • Relevant State Trade License.
