Key Responsibilities
  • Design and inspect electrical systems, including low and high power distribution, industrial control systems, and lighting.
  • Prepare contract plans, special provisions, calculations, engineer's estimates, inspection reports, and technical memorandums.
  • Review drawings and recommend necessary changes to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Research design options and document findings for project managers to inform decision-making.
  • Perform a mix of office and fieldwork, requiring strong technical skills and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Hold an ABET-accredited BS or BE degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Possess hands-on experience in electrical design and engineering (preferred).
  • Have coursework in Power and Control Systems.
  • Experience with electrical controls for electric motors is a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in CAD and drawing software, such as AutoCAD and Microstation (preferred).
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills are essential.
