Job Summary:
The Electrical Working Lead will oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of electrical projects, systems, and lead team members, including sub-contractors, for A/Z company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in and oversee the execution of electrical work, ensuring compliance with specifications and electrical codes.
- Act as a team leader, preparing sketches and following blueprints to ensure concealed wiring is installed before future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, overseeing or participating in wire installation with conduit and cable trays.
- Perform routine duties, including electrical panel maintenance and standby generation, while avoiding unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring.
- Connect power cables to equipment, install grounding leads, and observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocations, or replacement.
- Install control and distribution apparatus, test continuity of circuits, and use testing instruments to ensure electrical compatibility and safety.
- Additional duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices.
- Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers.
- Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality.
- Participate in site housekeeping and interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of field experience, journeyman, trade school, or apprenticeship.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Competency in Permit Required Confined Spaces.
- Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Education and Physical Demands:
- High-School diploma.
- Applicable State Trade License.
- Ability to perform tasks in all aspects of construction sites, climb ladders, crawl as needed, work from aerial lifts, and lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.
