Position Overview: The Interim Retail Operations Manager is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational excellence within our retail environment. This role involves collaborating closely with the General Manager to enhance service standards and achieve positive sales outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in strategizing and executing plans to elevate service quality and drive sales performance.
  • Manage staff scheduling to align with business demands.
  • Foster an environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction by mentoring and guiding teams to adhere to service protocols.
  • Oversee daily store operations to guarantee compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Work alongside the General Manager to provide coaching and development opportunities for the retail team, focusing on accountability and service excellence.
  • Monitor customer interactions to ensure appropriate communication standards are maintained.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and escalations effectively.
  • Utilize tools to manage customer flow and identify areas for improvement through team communication.
  • Uphold loss prevention measures and maintain confidentiality in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with various departments to support operational needs.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Prior experience in cash handling is required.
  • Management experience in retail or customer service is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to engage with all levels of staff and management.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in training and evaluating team members.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to move throughout the facility, communicate effectively, and handle objects of varying sizes and weights. Candidates must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and maintain mobility throughout the workday.

Work Schedule: This position typically requires a commitment of 45+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
