Key Responsibilities
The Promotions Manager, part of the Sales Enablement team, plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth within the independent trade sector. This position involves:
- Collaborating across departments including Sales, Merchandising Solutions, Supply Chain, and Supplier/Broker networks to support promotional initiatives.
- Creating and implementing tailored promotional strategies that enhance sales and facilitate quick inventory turnover for promotional events.
- Designing programs that cater to the unique needs of Suppliers, Retailers, KeHE Sales teams, and Supply Chain within assigned regions.
As a representative of KeHE, the Promotions Manager's actions will reflect the company's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Essential Duties
In this role, you will:
- Support promotional initiatives for Independent and Regional Chain accounts in alignment with Sales Team objectives.
- Function as a key member of the Sales Team, providing support, education, and solutions to achieve sales goals.
- Organize and lead sales meetings focused on promotional strategies and growth.
- Manage and expand regional promotional programs to meet the goals of supplier and retailer partners while driving revenue growth.
- Work collaboratively with other Promotions team members to ensure efficiency and consistency in strategies.
- Utilize tools and resources to develop informed selling strategies and continuously seek innovative methods to enhance sales.
- Evaluate promotional programs for effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Act as a strategic partner with suppliers to develop promotional strategies that align with their objectives.
- Coordinate closely with Category Management to ensure alignment on supplier initiatives.
- Actively pursue new retail customers for promotional activities.
- Maintain open communication with KeHE Sales, Suppliers, Brokers, Learning and Development, Sales Ops Analytics, Category Management, and Supply Chain to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with KeHE Supply Chain to maintain inventory health and minimize product waste.
- Support new retailer placement needs for promotional activities.
- Travel as needed for regional sales meetings and trade shows, along with regular travel within the region for business development.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of experience working with distributors, manufacturers, and retailers, particularly in Independent Channels.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and external audiences.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-management skills, including prioritization, goal setting, and time management.
- A collaborative team spirit that fosters trust and cooperation.
- Adaptability to changing demands and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Project management capabilities.
- A proven track record of identifying and successfully implementing new programs.
