Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will act as a liaison among all departments, including sales, operations, and purchasing/logistics. This role will be responsible for managing inventory research, facilitating daily selling activities, and coordinating with vendors to support product launches.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and own all inventory research, including receiving shorts, past due Purchase Orders, and general inventory review to mitigate out of stocks and expiration.
  • Facilitate daily selling activities to move short, coded product, including perishable and non-perishable items, in alignment with operations.
  • Work with marketing to support the outside sales team in launching new products.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners to broker guaranteed sales and samples to support item launches, re-launches, and market work.
  • Provide backup support to sales management to assist with stretch assignments as required.
  • Occasionally cover vacation duties for both Inside and Outside Sales Associates.
Requirements
  • Greater Seattle based, this is an in-office position.
  • Foodservice or purchasing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Food Service and Retail customers and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a team of Food Service professionals (5-10% travel, 90-95% in office/remote).
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive an agenda.
  • Flexibility: ability to work well with all departments and levels of staff both internally & externally.
