Job Overview

Hospitality and Campground Operations

Our positions in hospitality and campground management cater to detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional service to guests. This internship will immerse you in various aspects of our operations, including call center functions, initial guest interactions, and the intricacies of front office management. You will gain insights into back-of-house operations, encompassing maintenance protocols and the workings of our housekeeping department. Ultimately, you will learn to oversee all team members responsible for guest accommodations, including the preparation and upkeep of our hotel rooms, cabins, RV units, and campsites, while delivering outstanding, proactive service.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your leadership capabilities, understand our organizational values, and engage with experienced leaders within the company. You will also gain firsthand experience in the daily operations of a large, multifaceted entertainment venue.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Exemplify leadership by performing all assigned duties and responsibilities, fostering teamwork and a supportive learning environment.
  2. Deliver exceptional guest service to both visitors and team members.
  3. Promote and maintain a comprehensive safety culture for all staff.
  4. Establish a positive team atmosphere to enhance retention, motivation, and morale among team members.
  5. Assist area supervisors in the daily management of their respective departments.
  6. Ensure smooth and profitable operations through effective oversight.
  7. Support the training and development of team members assigned to your unit.
  8. Keep all team members informed about company policies and procedures, facilitating communication between management and frontline staff.
  9. Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues that arise.
  10. Monitor guest concerns and keep management informed of challenges within your area of responsibility.
  11. Ensure all team members adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
  12. Comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Company labor laws and policies.

REQUIREMENTS:

Enrollment in a BOCES or college/university program related to Hospitality, Business Management, Retail Management, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Culinary Arts, Food Service, Restaurant Management, Marketing, or Public Relations.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexible scheduling.
