Job Overview
The Hospitality and Campground Operations Internship offers a diverse range of opportunities for meticulous individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional service to Guests. This role encompasses learning about call center functions, initial sales processes, and front office responsibilities that assist Guests from their arrival through their entire stay, including night audit procedures.
Interns will also gain insights into back-of-house operations, such as maintenance protocols and the workings of a housekeeping department. This position provides a comprehensive understanding of managing team members responsible for Guest accommodations, including hotel rooms, cabins, RV units, and campsites, all while ensuring a high standard of proactive and friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exemplify leadership by performing all assigned duties and responsibilities, fostering teamwork, and creating a supportive learning atmosphere for all team members.
- Deliver outstanding Guest Service to both Guests and Team Members.
- Promote, maintain, and enforce a comprehensive safety culture for all Team Members.
- Establish and nurture a strong team environment to enhance retention, motivation, and morale among Team Members.
- Assist area supervisors with the daily operations of their designated areas.
- Oversee functions to ensure smooth and profitable operations.
- Support training and coaching for team members assigned to specific units.
- Keep all team members informed about park procedures and policies, facilitating communication between management and front-line staff.
- Address Guest complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Manage all Guest concerns and keep the management team updated on any challenges within your area of responsibility.
- Ensure all team members adhere to proper uniform standards and grooming guidelines.
- Enforce compliance with Federal, State, and Company labor laws and policies.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a BOCES or college/university program related to Hospitality, Business Management, Retail Management, Sales, Finance, Accounting, Culinary Arts, Food Service, Restaurant Management, Marketing, or Public Relations.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays with flexible scheduling.
- Commitment to providing exceptional Guest service.
