Senior Project Controls Specialist at STSI

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Controls Specialist to join our team at STSI. In this pivotal role, you will oversee project controls functions and work closely with the project management team to ensure exceptional client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include preparing and presenting reports on schedule and budget statuses to both the project management team and clients.

  • Ensure the effective configuration and management of the Enterprise Planning & Controls software
  • Conduct thorough analysis of data, logs, and reports using the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or alternative tools
  • Guarantee the appropriate application of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Create comprehensive scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flow analyses, and forecasts for various projects
  • Establish and maintain a reporting data warehouse to generate insightful program controls reports and data for significant projects
  • Provide guidance and training to team members to address project control challenges
  • Formulate and execute project execution strategies
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, customers, and contractors
  • Supervise engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics, and cost management
  • Serve as a technical resource for inquiries from the project team
  • Evaluate project expenses and assist with external audits
  • Negotiate primary agreements and construction contracts/subcontracts
  • Facilitate Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM) and deliver Project Controls reporting presentations
  • Assess schedule management and conduct scenario analyses
  • Ensure the precision of earned value management system reporting
  • Identify and manage the Risk Management process
  • Perform quality assurance checks on project controls deliverables
  • Conduct field audits to verify the accuracy of reporting and processes
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 8-12 years of relevant project controls experience
  • Proficiency in critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating, and document control
  • Familiarity with Oracle Primavera P6
  • Capability to facilitate detailed construction schedules and collaborate with engineering and procurement activities
  • Exceptional presentation, attention to detail, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
