Key Responsibilities

As the Engineering Project Manager, you will be entrusted with:
  • Leading and coordinating the efforts of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion.
  • Overseeing all facets of complex small to medium-sized projects or routine large projects.
  • Managing multiple small to medium projects simultaneously.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships, participating in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
  • Facilitating work sessions for deliverable development alongside other staff and stakeholders.
  • Coordinating staffing and workload throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Monitoring financial aspects of projects, adjusting team efforts to meet budgetary and scheduling parameters.
  • Collaborating with Business/Accounting Managers, Project Coordinators, and senior management for project evaluations.
  • Implementing QA/QC procedures and conducting training for personnel as outlined by strategic objectives.
  • Mentoring less experienced project staff to foster their professional development and participating in recruitment efforts.
  • Engaging in the Pump Station and Pipeline Practice Group.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in planning, designing, project engineering, project management, and construction of water treatment, wastewater, pump station, or pipeline projects.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience in the water treatment, wastewater, pump station, or pipeline sectors.
  • California PE license in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong technical and project management expertise in water and wastewater systems, including pump stations, transmission and distribution systems, and gravity conveyance hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software.
  • Knowledge of design codes such as HI, ANSI, and AWWA.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively to complete tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Strong skills in business development and strategic planning.
  • Experience in large-scale pump station and pipeline condition assessment, design, and rehabilitation.
