Lead Precious Metals Vault Coordinator

Position Summary: Reporting to the Head of Precious Metals Operations Americas, the Precious Metals Vault Coordinator Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting our clients by collaborating with sales, back-office, and other depository teams. This position entails assisting management in the implementation and administration of policies and procedures, overseeing daily operations, and facilitating logistics within the precious metals storage facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with team leads to ensure precise inventory management.
  • Verify and process incoming shipments of precious metals.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and manage supply replenishment.
  • Assist management with COMEX-related operations.
  • Perform physical counts and reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Ensure proper packing and order fulfillment for shipments.
  • Support management in audit preparation and verification to maintain vault balance.
  • Oversee accurate monthly billing processes.
  • Coordinate daily order processing efficiently.
  • Be available to perform all tasks and cover for the Vault Lead as needed.
  • Identify potential areas of financial risk and implement preventative measures.
  • Ensure compliance with company protocols among staff.
  • Communicate effectively within a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Assist management in resolving operational issues.
  • Engage with transportation, sales, and forwarding teams as necessary.
  • Participate in the complete lifecycle of vault operations, including requirements gathering, development, quality assurance, deployment, documentation, and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the precious metals sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with COMEX regulations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Flexibility to respond to changes in project demands efficiently.
  • Proficient in learning and applying technology relevant to the role.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a positive attitude contributing to team success.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships at all levels.

Working Conditions:

  • Climate-controlled environment.
  • Potential responsibilities outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
  • Work within vault areas with limited exposure to natural light.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain various physical positions for extended periods.
  • Continuous movement between different work areas.
  • Standing for significant portions of the shift on concrete flooring.
  • Effective communication skills in English for interaction with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to perform numerical tasks and maintain accurate records.
