Position Overview

The Accounts Payable Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial operations, providing expert support to the Accounts Payable Section. This position requires a deep understanding of processes and an ability to manage increasing workloads effectively.

The analyst will be responsible for overseeing payments related to institutional contracts, leases, and professional services, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all transactions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Auditing and Payment: Review and process invoices associated with purchase orders and payment requests, ensuring compliance with relevant policies.
  • Outstanding Payment Resolution: Proactively address and resolve payment discrepancies, liaising with vendors and internal departments as necessary.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of service by verifying receipt of goods and services, addressing any issues with installations or deliveries.
  • Travel Expense Management: Audit and process employee travel reimbursements, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of invoices and payment documentation, demonstrating a commitment to operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance.

Qualifications

Required: High School diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial support. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Preferred: Familiarity with financial systems such as PeopleSoft or SAP, and an understanding of contract administration.


Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills to resolve payment issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days, Monday to Friday
