Position Title: Fitness Operations Supervisor

Reports To: Club Manager

Status: Full Time / Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Fitness Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the management of gym operations, ensuring a positive experience for members while contributing to the financial success of the facility.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee member service initiatives, ensuring that all staff consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  2. Engage actively in front desk operations and related tasks.
  3. Welcome potential members and conduct gym tours.
  4. Assist in resolving member service inquiries and issues.
  5. Provide support to the Club Manager as required.
  6. Help maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the gym.
  7. Contribute to marketing efforts, ensuring staff are informed and trained on current promotions.
  8. Assist with supply ordering, inventory management, and necessary reporting.

Essential Behavioral Competencies:
  1. Customer Service: Engages with customers (including coworkers and the public) in a manner that exceeds their expectations.
  2. Active Listening: Listens attentively to customers, empathizing with their perspectives and collaborating to find solutions.
  3. Problem Solving: Identifies and defines issues, analyzes relevant information, and encourages alternative solutions to resolve challenges.
  4. Diplomacy: Exhibits tact and skill in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service abilities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift
  • Frequent verbal communication in person or via phone for at least 75% of the shift
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
