Position Overview:

Become a vital part of the Supermicro Global Service Installation Team, contributing to the development of a high-quality service framework. This position requires adaptability in working hours, including evenings and weekends for equipment setup in a data center setting. Responsibilities encompass racking, stacking, and cabling server and network devices while providing technical support for hardware and software operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comprehend rack elevations and cable mapping for client solution projects.
  • Assist in the deployment of server, storage, and networking equipment.
  • Perform physical installation, racking, stacking, cabling, and networking of data center hardware.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless hardware integration.
  • Conduct quality evaluations and post-installation system functionality assessments.
  • Provide frontline technical support to end-users through various communication channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network challenges.
  • Travel up to 50% to client locations for installations or troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 years of experience in servicing complex X86 systems and components.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Alternatively, an Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years of Customer Support experience.
  • Proven hardware system diagnostics capabilities and understanding of system issues.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade server hardware.
  • Excellent communication and project management abilities.
  • Preferred certifications in Windows, Linux, and networking protocols.
Offered Salary:

$101,000 - $115,000

The salary range provided will be determined based on various factors, including location, level, education, skills, and comparative analysis.
