- Bring best industry practices and navigate changing technologies and upcoming trends to create a strategic company product roadmap, ensuring F5 remains at the forefront of innovation.
- Integrate research and emerging business/industry trends into company product platforms, ensuring alignment with market demands and customer needs.
- Act as a technical spokesperson for F5 at internal and external forums, representing the company's technical expertise and capabilities.
- Establish formal networks with key decision-makers and serve as an external spokesperson for the organization, promoting F5's brand and reputation.
- Act as a mentor for junior members in the team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Extensive experience with orchestration systems and automation-first design methodologies, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and security.
- Experience designing APIs, globally distributed systems, and software development in Linux environments.
- Strong practical networking experience, with a focus on security and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP and Kubernetes container environments, with a strong understanding of hardware accelerators and their applications.
- Internally and externally recognized as a premier technical, industry, or product specialist, with a strong reputation for expertise and leadership.
- Experience leading complex product development initiatives from concept through release, with a strong track record of success.
- Strong leadership skills and an ability to mentor other engineers, with a focus on developing and growing the team.
- Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
