Position Overview

This role is essential in collaborating with the organization to design and implement our workforce strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Manages, executes, and enhances the recruitment process by closely collaborating with hiring leaders to identify departmental requirements, establish new roles, create and publish job postings, source and evaluate candidates, recognize suitable applicants, arrange interviews, draft and present job offers, and successfully onboard candidates by ensuring the completion of necessary pre-employment assessments and background verifications, including analyzing the results. Collaborates with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to proactively enhance our safety culture and assists in overseeing and managing Workers' Compensation claims. Oversees the leave of absence procedure by: guiding employees on filing claims to access company and state benefits during their leave; documenting, certifying, and approving leave requests; partnering with supervisors to prepare for employee absences and their return; coordinating with ITT's benefits administrator, Payroll, and employees throughout the leave process. Conducts comprehensive and impartial investigations into employee grievances or issues, as necessary. Provides recommendations for appropriate resolutions. Prepares detailed reports on investigation outcomes and any relevant documentation as required. Escalates more complex or sensitive cases to the HR Business Partner. Implements assigned projects as required, including but not limited to, performance reviews, Workday audits, and compliance training sessions. Advises managers on personnel-related matters, including administering coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and performance enhancement plans, as needed. Crafts and disseminates engaging organizational communications that keep employees informed about HR services and business updates. Manages the exit interview process; identifies potential areas for improvement and concerns that require follow-up. Proposes enhancements to HR processes and executes necessary improvements. Facilitates the orientation and onboarding process for new employees, ensuring support for both managers and new hires throughout the integration process. Provides guidance to employees on the proper interpretation and application of company programs, policies, and procedures; addresses related inquiries and concerns. Maintains HR documentation and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of all employee information. Leads initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and prepares organizational communications for the site.

Position Qualifications

2 – 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally within mid to large-sized manufacturing firms. Customer-oriented, proactive, positive, and motivated to achieve departmental and corporate objectives in a dynamic environment. Strong consultative abilities and capacity to collaborate with managers and professionals to comprehend needs and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations. Experience across various domains: recruitment, employee development, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and performance management. Proven track record in investigating and resolving employee relations challenges. Familiarity with employment regulations, including Federal and California Leave Laws.

The salary offered to candidates is influenced by several factors, including experience, qualifications, location, and market considerations.

Salary Range

Annual Salary Range is $63,000 to a maximum of $94,400, plus benefits and incentive plans.
