Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Support Specialist to provide exceptional administrative support to the Vice President for University Services at Point Loma Nazarene University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Vice President, including reception of university inquiries, visitors, and phone calls.
  • Assist with the administration of events and activities hosted by the Vice President, including management and oversight of the process as needed.
  • Act as liaison to the Office of Marketing and Creative Services for the Vice President, facilitating new signage for all campuses and communication services for marketing materials as needed.
  • Edit and draft documents, newsletters, and other materials as requested.
  • Provide administrative support, including check requests, account transfers, purchase order requests, editing, printing, drafting letters, creating spreadsheets, and ordering office supplies.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Experience in event or program coordination preferred.
  • A positive and professional attitude, and strong team building and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in an environment of frequent interruptions.
  • Administrative experience, including core competencies in Google and Microsoft Suites.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the university.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to compose correspondence using correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, format, and etiquette.
  • Ability to learn additional administrative tools.
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement.
