Overview:

The Patient Access Coordinator I plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment at Arkansas Children's Hospital. This position is responsible for essential tasks related to scheduling and registration for outpatient services, ensuring that all demographic and insurance details are accurately collected.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate all patient appointments and verify necessary referrals.
  2. Achieve and maintain productivity and accuracy benchmarks.
  3. Welcome and engage patients, families, and visitors to foster a positive atmosphere.
  4. Conduct registration and discharge processes, including co-payment collection and insurance verification.
  5. Facilitate discharge scheduling and ensure follow-up appointments are arranged.
  6. Demonstrate flexibility by registering patients in multiple centers as needed.
  7. Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance patient communication and clinic operations.
  8. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the patient experience, including promoting patient satisfaction surveys.
