Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, providing a positive and welcoming experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Schedule patient appointments and ensure referrals are obtained in a timely manner.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards, ensuring seamless registration and discharge processes.
- Engage with patients, families, and visitors to provide a positive first impression and exceptional customer service.
- Complete registration and discharge activities, including co-payment collection, MyChart activation, and insurance verification.
- Collaborate with clinical partners to optimize patient communication, clinic flow, and ongoing care.
- Actively participate in activities to enhance the patient experience, including encouragement of patient satisfaction surveys.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Administrative support experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program or technical school
- Related field experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
