Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Arkansas Children's. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient access to our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule all patient appointments and verify referrals to ensure seamless access to care.
  • Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy standards, maintaining a high level of quality in all interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patients, families, and visitors to create a positive first impression and foster a welcoming environment.
  • Complete registration and discharge activities, including co-payment collection, insurance verification, and MyChart activation, to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Coordinate discharge scheduling and ensure follow-up appointments and tests are scheduled, promoting continuity of care.
  • Collaborate with clinical partners to optimize patient communication, clinic flow, and ongoing care, enhancing the patient experience.
  • Participate in activities to enhance patient satisfaction, including encouraging patients to complete satisfaction surveys.

Requirements

  • Ability to register patients in multiple centers, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet productivity standards.
