Position Overview:
This role is integral to the Prosthetic & Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) within the Prosthetic Service Line. The position is essential for ensuring that veterans receive the necessary prosthetic and sensory aids in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition Management: Develop and submit procurement plans and packages tailored to stock and veteran-specific requirements, ensuring all documentation is accurately uploaded to the Electronic Contract Management System (eCMS).
  • Vendor Verification: Confirm the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) and Bradstreet details, ensuring all vendors are registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and maintain good standing.
  • Financial Accountability: Monitor and verify all prosthetic expenditures, ensuring proper association of obligations to individual veterans.
  • Customer Support: Provide comprehensive patient care and support services, acting as the primary contact for external inventory needs.
  • Consult Management: Oversee, track, and analyze prosthetic consults and prescriptions, ensuring all requests are complete and justified.
  • Eligibility Assessment: Review clinical health records to determine eligibility for requested items and services, advising veterans accordingly.
  • Procurement Oversight: Manage all procurement actions, safeguarding the government's interests in all transactions.
  • Invoice Reconciliation: Certify payment by reviewing veteran records against invoices, ensuring accuracy in billing.
  • Training and Development: Mentor new purchasing agents in procurement processes, inventory control, and purchase card reconciliation.
  • Office Automation: Utilize various office equipment and software to facilitate communication, order placement, and documentation.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with specific working days outlined in the job requirements.
