About the Role

The Commercial Lender is a key member of the American National Bank of Texas team, responsible for driving business growth and sales of the bank's products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial banking and a proven track record of developing and managing loan portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to increase revenue and expand the bank's customer base
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial loans, working closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Cross-sell bank products and services to existing clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and deepen relationships
  • Conduct credit analysis and make lending decisions within established limits, or make recommendations to a supervisor
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless loan processing and closing
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to differentiate the bank's offerings

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial banking or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial products and services
