About the Role
The Commercial Lender is a key member of the American National Bank of Texas team, responsible for driving business growth and sales of the bank's products and services. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial banking and a proven track record of developing and managing loan portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to increase revenue and expand the bank's customer base
- Manage a portfolio of commercial loans, working closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
- Cross-sell bank products and services to existing clients, identifying opportunities to increase revenue and deepen relationships
- Conduct credit analysis and make lending decisions within established limits, or make recommendations to a supervisor
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless loan processing and closing
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to differentiate the bank's offerings
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial banking or a related field, with a strong understanding of financial products and services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Travel to various locations to meet with clients and attend industry events
