Job Title: Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor

Join the State of Florida Department of Health as a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor and play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles and preventing disease in our communities.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strong background in public health nutrition and experience in supervising a team of professionals. As a Public Health Nutritionist Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Lehigh WIC clinic site, including supervising staff, coordinating services, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support clinic staff, including motivating, training, and providing guidance and direction.
  • Coordinate site operations, including distribution of services and staff assignments.
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for clients, including individual and group sessions.
  • Assess nutritional status and develop basic nutrition plans for clients.
  • Provide breastfeeding support and education to clients.
  • Document services provided and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nutritional science, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition.
  • One year of professional experience in public health nutrition.
  • Licensed as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in accordance with Chapter 468, Florida Statutes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
