Job Summary:

Sisson Contracting, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable General Laborer to join our team in underground utility construction. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing various tasks under the direction of our experienced Foreman/Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground utilities, including pipes, cables, and other infrastructure.
  • Operate various construction equipment, such as backhoes, excavators, and trenchers, to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, hauling, and lifting, as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, grading, and compacting soil.
  • Collaborate with other crew members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in underground utilities or construction preferred.
  • Ability to work safely and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
