Position Overview: Senior Financial Planning Analyst, Americas

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst for the Americas, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Region CFO with comprehensive analysis and presentation of strategic, financial, and operational data. Your contributions will directly impact the financial planning and analysis efforts across the Americas.

On a typical day, you will:
  • Assist in analyzing and presenting financial outcomes and operational metrics for monthly forecasts and annual plans, delivering insights into overall business performance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for quarterly Board meetings, ensuring clarity and precision in financial results.
  • Facilitate the establishment of best practices across all brands within the Americas.
  • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to develop necessary reporting frameworks for the region.
  • Communicate financial performance metrics to the Corporate FP&A team and manage ad hoc requests efficiently.
  • Support Flash reporting initiatives for the Americas.
  • Analyze weekly Direct-to-Consumer business performance metrics.
  • Evaluate marketing return on investment for the region.
  • Work alongside the Global reporting team to ensure accurate reporting for the Americas.
  • Assist in the approval processes for strategic investments, marketing personnel, and travel expenses.
  • Track and execute financial objectives for the Americas Finance team.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the financial and strategic goals for the Americas Region, along with insights into VF's business trajectory.
  • Analyze monthly cash flow results against expectations and investigate variances.
  • Support the CFO in various group initiatives relevant to the Americas.
  • Partner with the accounting team to ensure alignment on management accounting practices and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 publicly traded company within a matrix organization is highly desirable.

  • Advanced PC skills, especially in Microsoft applications including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Capability to work collaboratively with Finance and Operations teams while fostering a results-oriented culture.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with exceptional analytical capabilities.
  • The ability to present findings to management in a clear and concise manner.
