Key Responsibilities:

The role of a Senior Financial Planning Analyst for the Americas is pivotal within the financial planning and analysis team. This position, reporting to the Manager of FP&A Americas, involves critical support for the Region CFO in analyzing and presenting all strategic, financial, and operational elements of the Americas.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the analysis and presentation of financial outcomes and operational metrics for monthly forecasts and planning, offering insights into overall business performance.
  • Preparing reports and presentations of financial results for quarterly Board meetings.
  • Establishing best practices across all brands within the Americas.
  • Collaborating with the Business Intelligence team to develop necessary reporting for the Americas.
  • Facilitating communication of financial performance with the Corporate FP&A team and compiling ad hoc requests.
  • Supporting Flash reporting for the Americas.
  • Gaining insights into weekly DTC business performance for the region.
  • Analyzing marketing return on investments in the Americas.
  • Working with the Global reporting team regarding Americas reporting.
  • Assisting in approval processes for strategic investments, marketing headcount, and travel expenses.
  • Tracking and executing the OGSTM for the Americas Finance team.
  • Understanding the financial and strategic objectives of the Americas Region and gaining insights into VF's business landscape.
  • Analyzing monthly cash flow results against expectations and investigating variances.
  • Supporting the CFO on group initiatives for the Americas.
  • Partnering with the accounting team to ensure alignment on management accounting activities and adherence to best practices.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a unique blend of skills and experiences:
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • A BA/BS in Business, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 publicly traded company within a matrix organization is strongly preferred.
  • An MBA or CPA designation is preferred.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong financial and performance analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, particularly in income statement and cash flow analysis.
  • Adept at problem-solving, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation tools.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with Finance and Operations teams while fostering a results-oriented culture.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and results-driven.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Skilled in presenting findings to management clearly and concisely.
