Job Summary

Venture Talent Consulting is seeking a skilled Security Systems Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing access control and CCTV systems for our commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Install, test, and maintain access control and CCTV systems, including infrastructure, equipment, and programming.
  • Cabling and Wiring: Terminate various types of industry cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, and coaxial.
  • System Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair access control and CCTV systems, including DVRs, NVRs, and hybrids.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, including floor plans, equipment make/models, passwords, and networking information.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company policies, including proper use of articulating boom lifts, ladder safety, and valid driver's license requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience installing and servicing commercial access control and CCTV systems.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of electric circuits and wiring in low-voltage applications, basic computer networking, and knowledge of cabling types (Cat5e, Cat6, Coaxial).
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, and any relevant certifications or training in security systems installation and maintenance.
