Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. This role involves working with advanced air conditioning and heating systems, requiring a comprehensive understanding of their electrical and refrigeration components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of electrical systems, refrigerant levels, and water flow to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on various commercial HVAC systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled units, ventilation systems, and heating equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of specialized cooling systems for computer rooms, ensuring precise temperature and humidity control.
  • Utilize available resources, including technical support and literature, to effectively diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Order necessary parts and materials from approved suppliers to facilitate repairs independently.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development by completing a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education each year.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of North American Technician Excellence (NATE) HVAC service technician Certification, HVAC Excellence Professional Level Certification, or HVACR Master Certification.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of electrical and refrigeration systems at a Journeyman level.
  • Analytical skills to diagnose issues and provide clear explanations of findings.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, as well as the capacity to walk, climb, and work at heights exceeding 12 feet. Candidates must be able to bend, crouch, and utilize their hands and arms effectively while working with tools and equipment.
