Position Summary

We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the precise and timely administration of our multi-state, bi-weekly payroll, collaborating closely with Human Resources and Accounting to facilitate benefits processing, month-end closing, and uphold internal controls.

Your Contributions

  • Bi-Weekly Payroll Management: Guarantee the accurate and timely execution of our bi-weekly payroll, including system audits and control measures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Analyze, interpret, and apply best practices in payroll processing.
  • Project Oversight: Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing payroll processing efficiency, including optimizing ADP Workforce Manager workflows.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Partner with Human Resources and IT departments to improve automation and data transfer processes related to payroll.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address complex payroll challenges and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Discrepancy Management: Identify, investigate, and rectify payroll discrepancies.
  • Employee Transitions: Collaborate with Human Resources on payroll-related tasks for onboarding, employee changes, and terminations.
  • Strategic Contributions: Offer strategic insights for payroll-related projects and assist in process optimization and ADP system functionality.
  • Documentation: Develop, document, and maintain internal payroll processing protocols and policies.
  • Reconciliation Oversight: Manage quarter-end and year-end reconciliation processes, including the annual W-2 preparation and year-end closing activities.
  • Third-Party Payments: Administer all third-party payroll disbursements, including garnishments and other deductions.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience:
    • Over 10 years of experience managing multi-state, high-volume payroll.
    • At least 5 years of experience utilizing ADP for payroll processing, with proficiency in ADP Payroll and ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Strong computer proficiency, particularly with the MS Office suite.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • High level of discretion regarding sensitive and confidential information.
    • Analytical thinking and capability to implement innovative practices.
  • Other Qualifications: Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and activities.
