Position Overview

Role Summary: The Calibration and Measurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring the precision and accuracy of measurement instruments and devices utilized in various industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts on-site calibration, maintenance, and technical assistance as required.
  • Interprets quality assurance documentation and testing protocols to gather necessary data for the calibration of specific instruments.
  • Assesses calibration and repair tasks to determine appropriate actions.
  • Adjusts settings and activates calibration equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitors instrument readings to identify any functional discrepancies and ascertain calibration needs.
  • Modifies calibration settings to achieve desired operational standards.
  • Applies protective substances to calibration components to maintain settings and prevent drift.
  • Identifies faulty instruments and coordinates repairs or rework as necessary.
  • Generates calibration certificates and comprehensive data reports.
  • Redesigns measurement capabilities to reduce inaccuracies and may disassemble instruments to diagnose issues.
  • Selects and integrates necessary accessories for measurement devices.
  • Completes service documentation and maintains relevant databases.
  • Develops and documents calibration procedures as required.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of product capabilities and industry standards.
  • Oversees calibration and repair projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Provides training and mentorship to team members as needed.
  • Creates calibration methodologies based on measurement science principles and accuracy requirements.
  • Collaborates with engineering and quality teams to ensure the selection of approved measurement instruments.
  • Offers guidance on resolving measurement challenges and participates in industry standardization committees.
  • Leads initiatives aimed at improving service quality and operational processes, adhering to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, write reports, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts and their application in practical scenarios.

Physical Requirements:

Compensation:

$27 - $37 per hour
