You will work closely with design and validation experts, systems engineers, lab integration specialists, and technicians to bring innovative products to fruition. There is potential for career advancement into roles such as Lead System Test Engineer, where you will develop leadership capabilities and engage in various programs throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement thorough testing strategies, methodologies, and automation processes to facilitate validation approval while addressing challenges in a rapidly evolving sector.
- Utilize analytical tools throughout the validation process.
- Contribute to an Agile team structure, rotating through diverse assignments that support test execution, process improvements, and the transition towards virtual validation techniques.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety within advanced testing environments.
- Investigate testing discrepancies and compile reports to communicate findings effectively.
- Assist in root cause analysis and resolution of system-level issues related to hardware validation.
- Analyze and review test outcomes, participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency through data-driven approaches.
- Engage in programs as production-ready designs become available, ensuring successful launch.
- Coordinate and consult with various departments beyond engineering.
- Collaborate with Component and System Validation Engineers.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and competitive products.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Chemistry.
- A minimum of two years of post-graduation engineering experience.
- Proven excellence in communication and collaboration within a diverse team setting.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex system functionalities.
- Demonstrated capability to influence without direct authority.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with electrical, thermal, or chemical virtual modeling and simulation.
- Willingness to receive training from various sources and techniques.
- Proficiency with Inca and/or Puma.
- Experience in calibration and/or development.
- Strong history of data-driven decision-making.
- Analytical skills for addressing unusual and complex problems.
- Familiarity with laboratory operations and testing equipment.
- Experience with RESS (battery) durability and safety assessments.
- Knowledge of Li-Ion battery cells, modules, and systems.
- Experience in areas such as Vehicle or System-Level Calibration, ICE or Conventional Transmission Development or Validation, and Instrumentation & Test Automation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of reliability and durability calculations.
- Adaptability to changes in program requirements.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
