Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Events Coordinator at Snowshoe Mountain. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, growth, and execution of events and animation activities that enhance the mountain experience for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the organization, scheduling, and execution of events and animation activities, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with the distribution of information to all Snowshoe divisions, partners, and the surrounding community, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely communication.
  • Collaborate with the event team to coordinate marketing deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of event schedules, plans, and copy to the communication department.
  • Support the coordination of the Village Artisan Program, recruiting, selecting, and scheduling crafters, vendors, and farmer's market participants.
  • Assist in the coordination of the Volunteer Program, recruiting, selecting, and scheduling volunteers, coordinating on-site activities, and tracking participation.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of events and animation activities, coordinating setup and breakdown, prioritizing projects, and providing input through participation in weekly meetings and wrap-ups.
  • Minimize resort liability risks by assisting with contract negotiations, adhering to company safety and liability policies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; enrolled in college with a major in Marketing, Hospitality, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and prior experience in organizing, coordinating, and executing group functions, activities, or events.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 70 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a dynamic, outdoor environment with exposure to cold, snow, wind, rain, and other extreme weather conditions. The incumbent must be able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work in a mountainous terrain with uneven surfaces.
