Position Overview: In the role of Substance Use Treatment Supervisor, you will be instrumental in guiding a cohesive team of clinicians within a research-backed care model to deliver comprehensive services to clients and their families. Your primary responsibilities will include steering the team in formulating, assessing, and refining treatment objectives, supervising bio-psychosocial evaluations, assessing substance use counseling, reviewing crisis and trauma intervention services, ensuring adherence to quality service standards, and managing evidence-based supervision aimed at achieving targeted outcomes for clients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cohesive team of clinicians within a research-supported care model to formulate, assess, and refine treatment objectives, provide resources, advocate for clients, conduct routine assessments, and build rapport with clients and families.
  • Supervise bio-psychosocial assessment interviews with clients, families, and/or referral sources in accordance with agency policies and standards.
  • Oversee an outpatient, evidence-based program tailored for clients with substance use diagnoses, ensuring targeted outcomes are achieved within a specified timeframe.
  • Implement the 7 Challenges program model on an outpatient basis, managing a caseload of up to 30 clients at any given time. Provide in-home counseling on an individual basis as determined in collaboration with your supervisor. As the team grows, this caseload will be adjusted to allow for increased supervision of clinical staff.
  • Review crisis and trauma counseling services with clinicians to ensure the safety of clients and families.
  • Ensure that quality service metrics are met through continuous analysis, case reviews, and accurate reporting via the Agency's electronic health record system or other required databases.
  • Complete 7 Challenges Supervisor Training to equip yourself to train additional clinical staff in the model.
  • Develop and mentor the clinical team to foster growth, expand skill sets, and enhance the scope of practice to meet quality service metrics.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism within the community, with clients, schools, courts, and referring agencies to cultivate and sustain positive relationships.
  • Oversee the program budget to align with contractual obligations and ensure fiscal responsibility and sustainability of the 7 Challenges program.
  • Support activities, services, and programs that adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Engage in weekly clinical supervision with staff, weekly meetings with your supervisor, and all staff gatherings.
  • Participate in additional leadership development opportunities to enhance your skill set and oversight capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in social work - Required.
  • LCSW/LICSW/LMHC - Required.
  • Valid driver's license and a registered/inspected vehicle - Required.
  • Bilingual; English, Spanish, Portuguese, Creole - Preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 2-4 years of experience in human services, healthcare, or other nonprofit organizations.
  • A proven track record of innovative clinical services and participation in evidence-based models that inform service delivery teams to support youth and families in achieving their goals.
  • Ability to lead clinical excellence while utilizing evidence-based counseling techniques, program structures, and crisis intervention aligned with quality service metrics.
  • Strong crisis management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with youth of all ages.
  • Experience managing in-home and community-based evidence-driven services for clients and families.
  • Proficient in building relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, clients, families, schools, law enforcement, and other community resources.
