Position Overview

The Client Admissions Specialist acts as the main liaison for all potential and incoming clients. This role collaborates closely with outreach personnel and clinical leadership to evaluate patients and ascertain whether NorthSight Recovery's services align with their clinical and social health requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the organization's initial point of contact through both telephonic and electronic communication methods.
  • Be available to respond to inquiries outside of standard business hours when necessary.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of individuals facing behavioral health challenges, including mental health disorders and substance use issues.
  • Perform clinical and Transitional Living pre-screen assessments, discussing evaluation results with Clinical and Medical leadership as required.
  • Facilitate external referrals and coordinate care, which may involve managing medication transitions.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of program intake procedures and provide assistance as needed.
  • Gather and analyze pertinent information, including medical history and current symptoms, to develop a holistic understanding of each client's needs.
  • Engage in staff meetings and continuing education to enhance clinical competencies and remain informed on best practices in behavioral health assessment and treatment.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring client confidentiality and respecting cultural and individual differences.
  • Verify prospective patient benefit information to assess eligibility for services and communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and compliance with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Exceptional customer service skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Capability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and take guidance from clinical staff.
  • Preferred experience in clinical admissions and assessments for co-occurring populations.
  • Familiarity with Arizona Medicaid is advantageous.
  • Ability to identify relevant clinical and medical factors impacting admission criteria and patient care.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, though a combination of relevant experience may be considered. A minimum of two years in the behavioral health field is required, along with proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other documentation tools.
