Qualifications & Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; relevant college coursework is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a related field is preferred.
  • A positive demeanor and a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, with a keen attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication skills are necessary for conveying information and ideas.
  • Quick and accurate decision-making abilities are required.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in addressing workplace challenges, including anticipating and resolving issues.
  • Strong listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by guests and colleagues.
  • Basic financial literacy and arithmetic skills are necessary.
  • Competence in performing basic numerical operations.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

  • Understanding of hotel services and guest offerings is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, adhering to uniform and name tag requirements.
  • Ensure regular attendance in accordance with company standards, adapting to hotel needs.
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Greet and welcome guests at the Front Desk, maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Oversee the operation of the telephone switchboard, meeting performance standards.
  • Handle requests for information, mail, and messages courteously and efficiently.
  • Respond to guest inquiries regarding hotel services, facilities, and operational hours.
  • Provide information about local dining, transportation, and entertainment options.
  • Foster effective communication and teamwork with fellow associates and departments.
  • Stay informed about rates, packages, and special promotions, as well as in-house groups and restricted dates.
  • Gather necessary information for room reservations and follow established rate quoting procedures.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and hospitality terminology.
  • Assist in emergency procedures as required.
  • Facilitate check-ins and check-outs in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Ensure proper logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests.
  • Utilize proper radio etiquette when communicating with associates.
  • Deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, and requested amenities as needed.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, special events, and local attractions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting coworkers and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel.
