Job Overview

Position: Lead Software Engineer - Security Solutions

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Compensation: $60 per hour

Contract Type: This is a contract role with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.

Position Summary: The TEEMA Group is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with a focus on Security Solutions. This position is critical in the development and refinement of our cutting-edge product offerings, which include Network Access Control, Endpoint Compliance, Mobile Management, and Intrusion Prevention Systems. The role encompasses both Client/Server and Web application development across Windows and Linux platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve customer escalation issues.
  • Provide technical guidance as needed and assist in the creation of new security functionalities.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical challenges, implementing necessary software code modifications.
  • Report and document defects to enhance product reliability and support.
  • Gain an understanding of customer network architectures to propose effective solutions.
  • Mentor junior Engineers on troubleshooting techniques and best practices in support.
  • Actively contribute to improving the supportability of our products.
  • Utilize Kanban methodology and Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence for efficient task management.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development or sustaining engineering, ideally in Network or Endpoint security.
  • Prior experience in technical leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Java and C/C++ programming languages.
  • Extensive experience in Linux/Unix development, including scripting and familiarity with systems/environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience with Kanban development practices.
