Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Consumer & Community Banking - API Marketplace team at JPMorgan Chase. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop creative software solutions, leveraging your expertise in software engineering concepts and technologies such as Kubernetes and Cloud Native.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Develop secure high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others, and identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies, and contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes and Cloud Native technologies, with experience in deploying and running platforms that will operate under varying load with high resiliency.
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability, with advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Practical cloud native experience, with in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
