Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Android Lead Software Engineer to join our team at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Bank, OmniChannel. As a key member of our agile team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

As a technical contributor, you will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives. Your expertise in software engineering concepts, Java, and Android will be essential in driving the development of our mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop secure and high-quality production code for Android applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions
  • Conduct technical troubleshooting and debugging to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain architecture and design artifacts for complex applications
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Combined software/application development experience in Java and Android
  • Experience working with API integration, RxJava, LiveData, and Restful API integration
  • Experience in Unit testing libraries like Mockito and distributed systems, caching, and persistence solutions
  • Proficient in coding in one or more language, understanding of build systems such as Gradle, Jenkins
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
