Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized individual to become a part of our dental office in the Front Office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The successful candidate will possess outstanding customer service abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering top-notch patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel at ease and valued.
  • Handle incoming calls professionally, manage appointment scheduling, and oversee the appointment calendar.
  • Conduct check-in processes; secure necessary signatures for required documentation.
  • Assist the dentist in helping patients comprehend and accept the proposed treatment, while coordinating a treatment plan that benefits both the patient and the dental practice.
  • Track and manage broken appointments effectively.
  • Confirm insurance coverage and process claims for treatments, including EOBs or pre-determination requests.
  • Clearly communicate treatment plans and options to patients, ensuring they fully understand their choices.
  • Monitor patient progress and follow up on treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain precise records of patient treatment plans, progress, and insurance claims.
  • Support billing and financial management for patients, collecting payments via cash, credit card, or check.
  • Comply with confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA regulations regarding patient records.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a dental or healthcare environment, particularly in front desk operations and treatment planning coordination.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with Dentrix is advantageous.
  • Understanding of dental insurance and billing procedures is beneficial.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding patient care and customer service.

This position is part-time with the potential for full-time opportunities in the future.
