Position Overview

The Payroll Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting our payroll operations. Reporting to the Director of Transactional Operations, this position is integral in collaborating with various stakeholders to conduct thorough analyses that inform process improvements and training initiatives. The Analyst will engage in system evaluations and process enhancements to align with our commitment to excellence in payroll services.

  • Collaborates with payroll management to assess, recommend, and implement modifications to payroll systems and processes.
  • Proactively investigates issues to provide actionable insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Acts as a liaison for the payroll department during system upgrades and modifications.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for process enhancements and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinates and conducts system testing for all payroll-related updates.
  • Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive business process improvements.
  • Facilitates team meetings and presents findings as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree along with five years of experience in business process analysis and project management, specifically within payroll functions, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to analyze workflows and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working within a matrix reporting structure involving payroll leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on process logic.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficient in financial impact analysis.
  • Ability to identify data trends and their implications for operations and personnel.
