  • Oversee all food preparation processes, adhering to standardized recipes.
  • Mentor and coach culinary team members, providing constructive feedback for their growth.
  • Coordinate food plating and presentation to meet established quality criteria.
  • Maintain stringent food quality standards and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Manage costs effectively through strategic food purchasing and labor management.
  • Assume kitchen management responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef, including training and development.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment functionality and uphold safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure premium ingredients and products.
  • Comply with local health regulations and food safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in menu development, costing, and event order distribution.
  • Advanced culinary knowledge and expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate a diverse work environment with emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Commitment to food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborative spirit to work closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Operations.
  • Culinary Arts degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in kitchen management within a 4-5 star hotel, independent restaurant, or entertainment venue.
  • Certifications: ServSafe, Allergen Certification, CPR.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and endure extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking.
