Job Summary

Compass Group, North America is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team in the Boston region. As a member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the culinary services operation, including supervision, preparation, and cooking of various food items.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist an onsite Executive Chef with production and execution of culinary operations
  • Support cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • Assist with menu creations
  • Support kitchen and culinary operations, as directed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Culinary experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting
  • Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon formal degree or training
  • Catering experience a plus
  • High volume, complex foodservice operations experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • Outstanding hospitality skills
  • ServSafe certified
