Job Summary

Bright Light Medical Imaging is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims, resolving denials and appeals, and maintaining excellent communication with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Processing: Review and process medical claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Denials and Appeals: Investigate and resolve denied claims, prepare and submit appeals, and negotiate with insurance providers to resolve issues.
  • Communication: Maintain excellent communication with patients, insurance providers, and healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of claims, denials, and appeals.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to medical claims processing.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in medical claims processing, appeals, and denials preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology and coding.
