In this role, you will address any concerns customers may have regarding their security systems. You will communicate with customers and the customer service center about the status of system inspections and processes. Your responsibilities will include repairing or replacing burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, Card Access systems, and other security devices. This position equips you with all necessary tools and equipment to work autonomously.


As a Security Systems Technician, you will:

  • Identify and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring.
  • Readjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning equipment and conduct operational tests.
  • Document temporary repairs through trouble order forms.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Burglar Alarm, Card Access, and CCTV.
  • Proficient in using mobile applications for daily tasks.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, including multi-meters, digital analyzers, and commissioning devices.
  • Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and navigating crawl spaces.

Project management experience is a plus. Familiarity with Software House, American Dynamics, Bosch, DMP, and other enterprise-level access control systems, CCTV, and IP video systems is advantageous. An associate degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. NICET Level I, II, or III certification is a valuable asset.
