The Commercial Security Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security solutions for commercial and enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, and configure electronic security systems for commercial clients, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, and signaling devices.
  • Troubleshoot installations to ensure compliance with operational standards and codes.
  • Travel to client locations using a company vehicle to perform installations and verify system functionality.
  • Execute electrical wiring tasks, including drilling, trenching, and aerial installations.
  • Connect control panels, meet application requirements, ensure wire concealment, and install security software.
  • Program security systems and associated devices.
  • Provide training to clients on system usage and basic troubleshooting.
  • Document all work performed and corrective measures taken in detail.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical, electronics, or communication systems is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication sectors.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Access Control, Salto, Hirsch, Open Options, Genetec, Video Surveillance, Hanwha, Milestone, and Vicon is advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities and mechanical skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, initiative, and accountability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various conditions, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
  • Must be capable of lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Pre-employment requirements include a drug screening, driving record review, proof of insurability, and a background check.
