The Physical Security Specialist plays a crucial role in the setup, installation, and configuration of access control systems and video surveillance technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and configure access control and surveillance systems, including CCTV, access control panels, and intrusion detection systems, in accordance with client specifications.
- Manage the connection of control panels, application requirements, and ensure proper wire concealment and security software installation.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of installed systems to verify functionality.
- Provide training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems, serving as a mentor for junior technicians.
- Perform quality assurance checks and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Address client inquiries and concerns during and post-installation.
- Maintain detailed records of installation activities, including configurations and wiring diagrams.
- Execute electrical wiring tasks, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical, electronics, or communication systems is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the installation and servicing of physical security systems, including access control and video management systems.
- Proficient in programming and configuring security system software.
- Experience with network configuration for access control and video management systems.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand electrical circuitry.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and mechanical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks from inception to completion.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in various environments, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Must meet project-specific requirements, which may include vaccination for flu and/or Covid-19.
- Ability to use hand tools, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Pre-employment requirements include a drug test, driving record check, proof of insurability, and a background investigation.
