As a pivotal member of the Marine and Energy division, the role of a Commercial Lines Client Relationship Manager entails effectively managing an assigned portfolio of clients while ensuring exceptional service delivery.

This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence two days a week.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Responsibilities Include:

During non-renewal periods, manage applications, policies, endorsements, binders, certificates, and audit requests, supported by an Assistant Client Manager. Conduct thorough research to address client inquiries regarding policies, coverage, and exclusions.

Collaborate with Senior Client Managers, Client Executives, and Producers to provide comprehensive client service. Oversee client accounts, including research and analysis to resolve policy and contractual matters. Execute routine policy modifications.

Establish and nurture relationships with client decision-makers, facilitating direct communication. Oversee the renewal process in collaboration with Producers or Client Executives, conducting exposure analysis, strategizing marketing approaches, and negotiating favorable terms on behalf of clients. Prepare proposals and ensure the accuracy of insurance binders.

Provide support to Producers and Client Executives by preparing presentations and participating in client meetings as part of a collaborative team.

Handle billing processes and provide standard administrative support. Manage automatic renewals and perform contract reviews as necessary, advising clients on insurance language and indemnification.

Compile and manage information related to account renewals, cross-selling opportunities, and provide monthly reporting on client and carrier data as needed. Ensure timely policy delivery and complete fee agreements as required.

Maintain high levels of trust and confidence with clients through proactive communication and prompt resolution of inquiries.

Process all client-related documentation, including applications, policies, endorsements, and audits, in a timely and accurate manner with assistance from the Assistant Client Manager.

Educate clients on policy coverage, changes, and insurance needs, assisting them in making informed coverage decisions. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and meet all quality standards in the Agency Management System.

Broking and Marketing: Collaborate with the Sales Team to determine strategies for coverage, pricing, and marketing. Collect and prepare renewal exposure data and submissions, ensuring timely follow-up on quotes and policies.

Negotiate premiums and commissions with underwriters and wholesalers professionally. Prepare proposals and provide technical support during the sales process.

Refer clients to EPIC's Employee Benefits and Private Client Departments for additional services as needed.

Personal and Organizational Development: Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient processing of responsibilities. Maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and business contacts.

Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and legislation to enhance knowledge and performance. Resolve issues promptly and embrace technological advancements to improve service delivery.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
May oversee the duties of Assistant Client Managers and assist in their professional development.

KEY COMPETENCIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of Property Casualty lines and energy insurance coverages. Ability to analyze situations logically and respond appropriately. Experience with Agency Management Systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A college degree and/or insurance designations are preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a retail brokerage environment is ideal, with a focus on Energy, Renewable, and Marine lines of coverage.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively is crucial.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Property and Casualty Broker License and a valid Driver License are required.
