Position Overview

As a Senior Roadway Designer at Horrocks, you will play a pivotal role in our Transportation Team, leading innovative projects that address our clients' unique challenges. We are committed to fostering a workplace where our values align with our mission to serve the community effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct design and analysis for various transportation infrastructures, including highways, interchanges, and shared-use pathways.
  • Prepare comprehensive studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for diverse transportation initiatives.
  • Manage client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with sub-consultants.
  • Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Possession of a Professional Civil Engineering license (P.E.).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in roadway design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Microstation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant transportation engineering software.
  • Familiarity with DOT's plan preparation protocols and standards.
  • Experience in hydraulics and traffic management is advantageous.
  • Willingness to engage in local projects or collaborate with other offices.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, colleagues, and management.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational capabilities.
