As a Senior Roadway Designer at Horrocks, you will play a pivotal role in our Transportation Team, leading a variety of projects that cater to our clients' needs while addressing complex challenges in roadway design.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct design and analysis for freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails.
- Prepare comprehensive studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for diverse transportation initiatives.
- Manage client relationships, stakeholder engagement, and coordination with sub-consultants.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure successful project completion.
- Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
- Possession of a Professional Civil Engineering certification (P.E.).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Roadway Design.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microstation OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant software in transportation engineering.
- Familiarity with DOT's plan preparation procedures and standards.
- Experience in hydraulics and traffic design is advantageous.
- Willingness to engage in local projects or collaborate with other offices.
- Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, staff, and management.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
